For a lot of people (especially those over the age of 18), Tumblr is the weird and mysterious too-cool-for-school social network, an open-book diary rife with obscure anime references, fan fiction and other cult-powered obsessions of modern teens.
For Taylor Swift, Tumblr is like home. Her Tumblr account is a must-follow for fans, as she gets disarmingly personal with it, posting candid photos, thoughts and interacting with her followers, like one Tumblr user nevergooutofstyle (AKA “Kasey”), who tagged the pop star with an account of her recent and very brutal breakup.

“I hope you see this but we’ve been together for 4 months, he just texted me and told me he was done with me,” the fan posted to her own Tumblr account, tagging Swift. “Gave me no reason and kept trying to get me to do irrational things to get him back. Now he’s calling me names and I just feel crumbled. I don’t know what to do.”
Swift took the time to respond to Kasey’s plight with words of wisdom as well as a six-song “breaking up/moving on” playlist.
“Heartbreak is awful enough,” Swift said. “The fact that you have to endure this kind of emotional abuse is so wrong. I know it’s hard but I think it’s time for you to utilize the ‘block’ feature on your phone. This is just damaging…Protect yourself, please. I’m so sorry this happened.”
